Yamit Lemoine, the Israeli-born vocalist and violinist behind Yamit & The Vinyl Blvd, started her classical music training at the age of five. Raised in Toronto, she cultivated a deep appreciation for Jazz, Blues, and Broadway styles, shaping her unique musical identity. With a background in Music and Theater from York University and Audio Engineering training in Miami, Yamit’s versatility as an artist is undeniable.
Her career spans performances with New York City jazz musicians, roles in Miami’s Musical Theater scene, and contributions as a performer, director, and producer across North America, the Caribbean, and Israel. After writing, directing, and producing her musical Making Angels in Miami, Yamit returned to her jazz roots, founding Yamit & The Vinyl Blvd in 2014. As the band’s lead vocalist and violinist, she brings an elegant fusion of Jazz, Blues, and Broadway influences to every performance.
Their debut album, Ain’t Misbehavin’ by Yamit & The Vinyl Blvd, was self-produced and released in May 2019, further solidifying their reputation for blending genres with sophistication and soul.
