DJ Chalant is described as being “cool”, “fun”, and knows how to bring life to the party! His DJ sets reflects that same notion, blending party bangers ranging from Hip-Hop, RnB, Pop, Dancehall, Moombahton, Reggaeton, Funk and Soul. He is inspired by the likes of DJ’s such as “Jazzy Jeff, DJ AM, DJ Camilo, DJ Premier, and MICK”. In addition to performing at hundreds of private and corporate events each year, Chalant also graces the airwaves at WPGC 95.5, DC’s heritage urban radio station. DJ Chalant’s versatility, energy and ability to bring a crowd together will leave a lasting impression for years to come.

Why do you love to DJ? Being able to connect with different types of people through various music. It’s also challenging, and a lot of fun.
What is your favorite DJ memory? I started off Djing house and block parties around my neighborhood – those are still my favorite DJ memories.
What’s your proudest DJ moment so far? Having the opportunity to work with local artists and performing with them at all the big local venues such as (Howard Theater, Fillmore). Also becoming a WPGC DJ!
If you could DJ for a celebrity’s party, whose would it be? Jay Z.
