Why do you love to DJ?
“I love to make people dance and spark joyful memories when they hear a song they love.”
What is your favorite DJ memory?
“One time I was DJing at Scam & Jam (a huge party I’m a resident DJ for in LA with +1200 people). Someone accidentally pulled out the power cord to the DJ equipment while I was playing “I wonder if I take you home” by Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam. The song cut out right when the chorus hit and the whole crowd was singing so no one really noticed that the power went out! They kept singing until I was able to reconnect! haha it was EPIC!”
What's your proudest DJ moment so far?
“Ohh this is tough, but having Snoop Dogg join my IG Live while I was Streaming for Bella Dona during the pandemic was super cool. He gave me props on my DJ set. 🙂 I also DJ’d a private event for Rosalia and she came up to me and said that she loved how I DJ’d!”
What do you play when you’re ready to bring the party to the next level?
“This depends very much on the crowd, but usually increasing the tempo and playing high energy Electronic Music takes the party to the next level. But if the crowd is more Hip Hop loving… No Hands by Waka Flocka always works.”
If you could DJ for a celebrity’s party, whose would it be?
“I can’t pick just one! Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Oprah, Missy Elliott, Rihanna, Bad Bunny, Kristen Wiig… lol sorry!”
Describe your DJ style in 5 words
“I can make you dance”
If you could DJ in any time period when would it be and why?
“During the late 90s! That is when I started going out to clubs and had the most INCREDIBLE time. The music was soooooo good at this time across ALL GENRES.”
What makes you an extraordinary DJ?
“Every time I step into the DJ booth I am ready to do my best in taking the crowd on a musical journey. I like to play a variety of genres and play songs that people will make the crowd react to either by screaming with excitement, dancing or throwing their hands up! My technical skills are top tier, I tend to get several compliments on my transitions and song selection. I have an extraordinary ability to read the crowd and play what they didn’t know they wanted to hear. :)”
