The Challenge: Delivering a World-Class Company Party Experience at Steven Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA
With a vision to transform the Steven Udvar-Hazy Center into a VIP experience, we faced a multitude of challenges. How could we create an immersive experience that would guide guests through the vast event space and showcase the impressive aircraft on display? And how could we ensure that the main event stage would accommodate remarks during dinner while also providing excellent visibility for all guests?
These were just a few of the puzzles we had to solve to bring this extraordinary event to life.
Our Extraordinary Solution
We provided a comprehensive range of services to make the event truly exceptional. Our solutions included:
Red Carpet Installation
Our team installed hundreds of feet of custom-cut red carpet throughout the facility to add a VIP feel to the venue. As guests walked the carpet, they were guided through the event space, enjoying all the treasures and various aircraft on display.
Projection Screens and Projectors
A large, custom-designed SEG wall was one stop along the carpet, serving as a photo opportunity for guests. Our onsite team constructed the photo wall using various sections of B Matrix framing, covered with a custom-designed fabric print, providing a seamless and beautiful display from edge to edge.
Stage
For the main event, our team built a custom stage complete with stairs and a podium for remarks during dinner. Two large 16×9′ projection screens were positioned on the left and right sides of the stage, ensuring all guests could follow along with the PowerPoint presentation and enjoy excellent visibility. We used front projection, shooting over guests’ heads from truss rigs, to provide the best solution for the layout of the space.
Live Sound System with Microphones
Our sound solution comprised various mini line array speakers, distributed throughout the seating area to provide adequate coverage while minimizing feedback and sound reflections. This setup kept the design minimal and cohesive with the aesthetic of the production. Following the dinner program, attendees moved to a separate area featuring a headlining band for an entertaining experience. Our team provided a second sound system, complete with stage monitors and instrumental backline, to support the band’s needs.
